Capturing Love at Mythe Barn: Lucy and Callum's September Celebration

Nestled in the picturesque landscapes of the West Midlands, Mythe Barn stands as a premier wedding venue, offering a fairy-tale setting for couples seeking a dreamy celebration. As a seasoned Mythe Barn Photographer, I've had the pleasure of capturing the love stories that unfold in this rural gem, and Lucy and Callum's September wedding was nothing short of enchanting.
Getting Ready: The Joyful Prelude
Mythe Barn exudes charm, set in 150 acres of farmland on the border of Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Leicestershire. Lucy began her day, getting ready in the cosy Gallery at the venue, surrounded by laughter and happiness as her bridesmaids shared in the excitement. With prosecco flowing, Hair by Keely and Maesie Robinson worked their magic on hair and makeup, and the arrival of stunning flowers by Julia Dilworth added an extra layer of joy.
As Lucy got ready upstairs, Callum and his groomsmen prepared in The Stable room downstairs. They were able to enjoy a drink outside before heading to greet their arriving guests.
It was time for Lucy to put on her dress with help from her bridesmaid. Then her mum, followed by her dad were invited in to see her for the first time! The rest of her bridesmaids followed, who had such beautiful responses to seeing her all ready in her dress.
The Ceremony: A Simple yet Heartfelt Affair
Lucy's moment arrived, escorted by her proud father. They walked down the aisle in the Oak Barn to a nervous but extremely smily Callum. The simple ceremony, supported by their mothers on each side, was a testament to their love.
Celebrations and Laughter: Making Memories Rain or Shine
Following the ceremony, Lucy and Callum embraced the confetti shower before enjoying moments of laughter with their guests. Despite a bit of rain, we managed to capture family and friends' photos in the Oak Barn. Then we got some charming couple's shots in the beautiful garden surrounding the venue.
Evening Revelry: From Speeches to Dancing
After an amazing meal, speeches were beautifully delivered by Lucy’s dad, Callum and his best man. They even included an emotional mention of Callum’s dad who had recently past away. It was clear how loved he was!
Whilst the Grain Store was being transformed into their evening party, the guests took advantage of the now better weather and chilled out in the Courtyard. The guests were entertained by the beautiful singing of talented Chelsie Jade, with scrumptious cupcakes being made by Bunny Bakery.
With the better weather, the bridesmaids wanted more photos together. So we headed out for some fun out on the lawn in front of the venue. We then took the couple for a quick walk for some simple walking photos down the driveway for the venue.
By now the Grain Store set out for a party. The guests gathered around the dance floor and watched the newly married couple take their first dance together. It wasn't long before they joined them in the festivities. The party was always an important part of the day for Lucy & Callum. So they booked a great DJ in the shape of Dancefloor DJ & Event’s head honcho Matt Pantling! He got the party going and kept it going well into the evening!
