Another wedding for the blog today, I was the Stapleford Park Wedding Photographer for Laura & Martyn.
Laura and Martyn's love story unfolded in the picturesque setting of the stunning Stapleford Park in Rutland. Their wedding, initially postponed twice due to COVID, finally came to life in May 2022, blessed with beautiful weather. The day was filled with heartfelt moments, laughter, and the sweet presence of their adorable daughter, Isobel.
Getting Ready
The day commenced in the Baker Room suite, where the tranquil morning took an energetic turn with the stirring of the lively Isobel from her nap. Laughter echoed as nerves mingled with excitement, setting the perfect tone for the day.
Groom's Preparations
My second photographer for today, Darren captured Martyn's pre-wedding moments at the couple’s home in Narborough. He was accompanied by his best man and they both nervously prepared for the day. A quick drive to Stapleford Park later, they took the opportunity to capture some candid photos amid the breathtaking surroundings.
Final Touches
The final touches were added to Laura’s look before her Dad came in to see her for the first time in her dress. His reaction was beautiful and emotional! Afterwards, Laura led her bridal party down the majestic stair case to the awaiting electric buggy for their lift around to the Orangery
The Ceremony
The Orangery served as the backdrop for a ceremony filled with anticipation. Isobel, the adorable new addition to the family, made a charming entrance, stealing the hearts of the guests. Laura, escorted by her emotional father, joined Martyn, and the couple's joyous smiles reflected their deep connection.
Magical Moments
Following the ceremony, the couple celebrated with confetti and took the opportunity to capture four generations of Nixon women, with a photo of Laura, her mother, grandmother and her daughter Isobel. Isobel, undoubtedly the star of the show, added a delightful touch to the festivities, taking the spotlight off this shy couple, much to their relief.
Entertainment and Dining
The fantastic magician, Max Francis, added an extra layer of flare to the day, entertaining guests with his tricks and banter. The Grand Hall, beautifully decorated, hosted a delightful dinner, followed by amusing speeches that echoed with laughter.
Sunset and Silhouettes
As the sun set, the couple explored the enchanting gardens, creating everlasting memories against the backdrop of the gorgeous sunset. Laura and Martyn's first dance, practiced to perfection, marked the beginning of a lively evening filled with joy and celebration.
When things quietened down a bit, we stole the couple away to get some more photos. We got a lovely silhouette of them with the last of the light in the sky. We then headed inside and captured a stunning moody image of them back on the majestic stair case before we left them to enjoy the rest of their wedding!
