It is great to celebrate families in every form. From what people consider to be the traditional family, to friends who are like siblings, all the way through to furry family members, there is a common theme. That is, they all mean the world to us!
I am excited to introduce myself as your local Leicestershire family and lifestyle photographer and share with you my passion for capturing precious family moments.
There is a lot of people who believe that family is everything, and that's why I specialise in candid photography that celebrates your unique family dynamic. I understand that the best family photos are the ones that capture genuine emotions and interactions, and I work hard to create a relaxed and comfortable environment that allows you all to be yourselves in front of the camera.
Whether you're looking for a traditional family portrait, a fun and playful session with your kids, or a documentary-style shoot that captures your family's daily life, I have the experience and expertise to make it happen.

HOW DOES A SHOOT WORK?
What should I bring to the shoot?
My sessions are very laid-back, and most of my clients find them to be pleasantly enjoyable! Normally, I begin taking pictures of all of you interacting and having a good time. This can help distract the kids from feeling nervous and scared as you are there with them. Even parents who dislike being photographed usually find the process to be painless because having the kids present is a fantastic distraction! Then we can work on photos of just the children, if you want them, when they have got use to me being there.
Bring extra clothing (for babies/young kids), snacks (or treats for bribes), and a few toys, if you think they'll make them smile. I don't tend to use too many props, but if you have any special hats, blankets, teddies, booties, or other items, bring them along and we can see if we can use them.
What happens if my child doesn’t behave?
Parents frequently worry that their children will act out during the shoot, but in over 15 years as a family & lifestyle photographer, I've always gotten some beautiful pictures. I don't need a lot of time to create lovely photographs, I alway assume that up to half of the time will be spent feeding, bribing, or otherwise wrangling the kids (and reluctant mums or dads). The best advice I can provide is to have fun and be funny with the kids while working with me to achieve natural grins instead of telling them to smile at the camera or threatening them to do as they are told. It's usually works better to divert their attention with tickles or fun games than to tell them off, and it's definitely worth easing up on whatever regular rules you have (aside from no hitting or biting!) for the time of the shoot. I have two lively cheeky young girls at home so there is definitely no judgement coming from me!
will the shoot be indoor or outdoor?
I advise indoor at home photography for infants up to roughly 18 months to 2 years old because it is a place they are familiar with and feel comfortable and safe in. They also don't need to be dressed warmly for the outdoors. When they are fully mobile (and above the age of three), the outdoors is frequently preferable because there is more space for them to play and run around in.

Fully edited images in my signature style. No filters, your family as you remember them with a bit of punch!
A deposit of £150 secures the date and then the balance of £100 can be paid anytime up to 2 weeks before your shoot.
